Hytrel I-ring crystal gasket 0.40 × 1.25 mm

0.40 mm wall, 1.25 mm height, from 16 to 50 mm

This Hytrel I-ring crystal gasket combines a 0.40 mm wall with a 1.25 mm height. It sits between the crystal and the bezel or case to seal the watch and hold the crystal, which is then fitted with a press. Its strong point is a very wide range of diameters, covering small watches as well as large cases with crystals up to 50 mm.

1.20, 1.25 or 1.75 mm?

Height is chosen according to the crystal edge and the depth of the seat: the gasket should wrap the edge without rising above the bezel. The 1.25 mm is very close to the 1.20 mm, and also covers diameters below 24 mm and above 40 mm. For a much taller crystal, move up to 1.75 mm. Fitting the gasket

Use a new gasket every time the crystal is changed: one that has already been pressed is compressed and no longer does its job. Clean the seat thoroughly before fitting, then follow our guide on how to replace a watch gasket.
