The watchmaker's precision glue

Used in watchmaking and jewellery since the 1930s, GS Hypo Cement is designed for delicate work. Its tube has an ultra-fine metal micro-applicator that deposits glue with millimetre precision, even in hard-to-reach areas. Clear, it dries without yellowing and leaves no visible trace.

Uses on a watch

• Gluing a date magnifier (cyclops lens) onto the crystal.
• Fixing a watch crystal or a bezel.
• Assembling small precision parts.

It is suitable for non-porous surfaces: mineral glass, plastic, metal, ceramic, beads, painted wood.

Working time and drying

Unlike an instant glue, GS Hypo Cement gives you time to adjust: it starts to bond after 10 to 15 seconds, so the part can be repositioned. It sets after about 10 to 15 minutes and is fully dry in about one hour. Its formula does not run and it does not stick to your fingers.

Tips

• Clean and degrease the surfaces before gluing.
• Use the smallest possible amount: excess glue may show under the crystal or around the lens.
• Do not handle the watch until it is fully dry.
