Domed Mineral Crystals with Base

Recognising a domed crystal with base

The domed crystal with base combines a flat rim, which sits in the bezel, with a curved central section. Seen from the side, a slight shoulder separates the two areas. This shape differs from the plain domed crystal, whose curve runs down to the edge.

The category offers 5 products, for 412 diameters from 15 to 50 mm, between €5.90 and €9.90 inc. VAT:

• 1.0 mm: from 15 to 50 mm, the widest range;
• 1.5 mm: from 23 to 50 mm;
• 2.0 mm: from 20 to 50 mm;
• 2.5 mm: from 23.5 to 50 mm;
• 3.0 mm: from 27 to 40 mm.

For this type of crystal, take the outer diameter of the flat base and the overall thickness on the edge. Comparing the height of the domed section with the original crystal helps avoid any contact with the hands.

The measuring method is explained in our guide to measuring a crystal. To place this crystal among the other materials and shapes, see crystal types.
