Finding the right replacement crystal

This catalogue brings together 42 watch crystal products, available in 5246 diameters in total, from 9.6 to 50 mm. Prices range from €5.90 to €76.90 inc. VAT depending on material and size.

Mineral crystals: flat, domed or domed with base, hardness of approximately 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale.
Sapphire crystals: flat only, hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale.
Acrylic crystals (hesalite): flat, extra-thin or domed, softer but can be polished.

The safest approach is to identify the material of the original crystal first, then its shape, and finally its thickness and diameter. Replacing a crystal with a different material is still possible, provided the shape and thickness remain compatible with the bezel and the gasket.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a mineral, sapphire and acrylic crystal?

Mineral has a hardness of approximately 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale, sapphire 9. Acrylic is softer: it scratches easily but can be polished.

How do I measure the diameter of my crystal?

Measure the removed crystal, or the bezel opening, with a calliper, reading the value to a tenth of a millimetre. Our measuring guide explains the method in detail.

What range of diameters do you offer?

Can I replace a mineral crystal with a sapphire one?

It is possible if the diameter, shape and thickness remain compatible with the case. The sapphire crystals offered here are all flat.

Should I change the gasket at the same time as the crystal?

A hardened or deformed gasket no longer holds the crystal securely. It is generally advisable to replace it when fitting a new crystal.
