A low gasket for thin-edged crystals

This Hytrel I-ring is a cylindrical ring that sits between the crystal and the bezel or case. It seals the watch and holds the crystal, which is then fitted with a crystal press. At 0.60 mm high, it is one of the lowest gaskets in our range: it suits mineral or sapphire crystals with a thin edge and shallow seats, often found on dress watches and slim models.

Choosing the right size

• Diameter: it matches the diameter of the crystal. 71 sizes are available, from 14.28 to 40.0 mm.
• Thickness 0.35 mm: this is the wall thickness of the gasket, the most common value in watchmaking.
• Height 0.60 mm: the right choice when the crystal edge is thin. If the old gasket stood proud of the crystal or looked too short, compare with our 0.70 and 0.80 mm heights.

Fitting tips
