Hytrel I-ring crystal gasket 0.35 × 0.80 mm

The most common crystal gasket

0.35 mm thick, 0.80 mm high: this is the I-ring format found on a large number of watches with a pressed-in crystal. The Hytrel ring sits between the crystal and the bezel or case; it seals the watch and holds the crystal once it has been pressed in. It is often the first gasket to try when the old one is missing or impossible to read.

A very complete range

• 289 diameters from 13.3 to 50.0 mm, in fine steps (tenths of a millimetre plus .28 and .78 sizes) to match the exact crystal diameter.
• 0.35 mm wall, suited to most standard seats.
• 0.80 mm height, for crystals of average thickness. For a thinner edge, see our 0.60 and 0.70 mm; for a thicker crystal, our 0.90 and 1.00 mm.

Finding your diameter

The gasket diameter is the crystal diameter. Measure the crystal with a caliper at several points to check it is perfectly round, then pick the closest size in the table. Our guides explain how to measure a watch gasket and how to use a caliper. Replacing the crystal too? Read our page on types of watch crystal.

Fitting

Always use a new gasket with a new or refitted crystal: a gasket that has already been compressed can no longer be relied on to seal. Fitting is done with a crystal press, with crystal and gasket well centred. Follow our guide on how to replace a watch gasket.

€2.90 to €17.90 incl. VAT depending on diameter. Depending on size, gaskets come from the ISO Swiss or Sternkreuz ranges.
