Hytrel I-ring gasket 0.35 × 0.90 mm, slightly taller than standard, for crystals whose edge is higher than a 0.80 mm gasket. 15 diameters from 14.28 to 36.28 mm.
This Hytrel I-ring crystal gasket keeps the classic 0.35 mm wall but rises to 0.90 mm in height. It sits between the crystal and the bezel or case, seals the watch and holds the pressed-in crystal. Choose it when the crystal edge is slightly taller than average, or when the seat is a little deeper and a 0.80 mm gasket leaves the crystal poorly held.
Compare the height of the crystal edge with the depth of the seat. The gasket should surround the edge over its full height without rising above it. If you still have the old gasket, measure its height before it gets distorted. A compressed gasket no longer seals: replace it every time the crystal is changed. Place the gasket around the crystal, check that it is not twisted, then press with a die suited to the diameter. Details in our guide on how to replace a watch gasket.
