Hytrel I-ring crystal gasket 0.35 × 1.00 mm

A 1 mm height with a thin wall

This I-ring crystal gasket combines a thin 0.35 mm wall with a 1.00 mm height. The Hytrel ring sits between the crystal and the bezel or case, seals the assembly and holds the crystal after it has been pressed in. It answers a specific need: a crystal with a tall edge fitted in a narrow seat, where a 0.40 mm thick gasket would be too wide.

Thickness or height: do not mix them up

Thickness (0.35 mm) is the wall of the ring; it depends on the gap between the crystal and the bezel. Height (1.00 mm) is chosen according to the crystal edge and the depth of the seat. Fitting tips

Replace the gasket each time the crystal is changed, as the old one is compressed. With a 1 mm height, make sure the gasket stays upright all the way round before pressing. The procedure is explained in our guide on how to replace a watch gasket.
