Hytrel I-ring gasket with a reinforced 0.40 mm wall and a 1.20 mm height, for thick crystals on medium and large watches. 94 diameters from 24.2 to 39.7 mm.
With a 0.40 mm wall and a 1.20 mm height, this Hytrel I-ring gasket is designed for crystals thicker than average, often found on sports watches and cases with crystals over 24 mm. Fitted between the crystal and the bezel or case, it seals the watch and holds the crystal once pressed in. Its thicker wall fills a wider gap between crystal and seat.
The gasket diameter is the crystal diameter. Choose a 0.40 mm thickness if the old gasket was clearly thicker than a standard 0.35 mm one, or if the crystal sits loose in its seat. The 1.20 mm height suits crystals with a tall edge; for an even taller edge, see our 0.40 × 1.75 mm. Measurements are taken with a caliper: follow our guide on how to measure a watch gasket and the one on how to use a caliper.
A compressed gasket no longer protects the watch: always replace it along with the crystal. Use a press die suited to the diameter and press gradually. Our guide on how to replace a watch gasket covers each step.
Gaskets from the Sternkreuz range.
