Previous step: Step 2 - Lubricate the watch gasket
Now that the gasket is greased with the Lubrijoint, it needs to go back into the case. This step shows you how to seat the new gasket without damaging it. Find all the watchmaker tools used in this tutorial in our online shop.
Step 3: Fit the gasket back into the case
Step 1
With the gasket lubricated, pick it up with your antistatic tweezers and close the Lubrijoint.

Step 2
Place the gasket on the outside of the case-back groove.

Step 3
Use the tweezers to seat the gasket as deeply as possible in the case-back groove. Caution: some tweezers have very sharp tips. Be careful not to nick the fresh gasket.

Step 4
The new gasket is now fitted on the case and properly lubricated.
